Calm Kids OT
Calm Kids Occupational Therapy (OT) is a mobile occupational therapy service for children and young people aged 0-18 years in the City of Maroondah and surrounding suburbs of outer eastern Melbourne.
Calm Kids OT is run by Wendy Campbell, an occupational therapist with more than 30 years of experience in working with children, young people and their families.
Wendy believes that being in a calm regulated state and feeling safe is the foundation for learning, social connection, task performance and achieving personal goals.
Wendy aims to help children, young people and their families flourish by:
- Exploring strategies to calm the sensory and nervous systems
- Building skills and confidence
- Strengthening family relationships
- Working with family centred and client centred goals and priorities
- Using evidence based approaches
- Developing a trusted, safe, therapeutic relationship

About Wendy

Wendy has more than 30 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, working with children and adolescents in both physical and mental health settings in Australia and England. These settings have included a mother and baby unit, inpatient and out-patient children’s hospital settings, community health centre, preschool early intervention programs, child and youth mental health services (in and outpatients). She updated her original Bachelor degree in occupational therapy to a Master of Occupational Therapy at La Trobe University in 2003. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), is a registered Medicare provider for both chronic disease management plans and Better Access to Mental Health, and has a current Working with Children check.
Wendy’s experience includes (but is not limited to) working with children/adolescents with the following diagnoses:
